Free Credit Report

Your credit score is very important when you are buying a house.  The higher your credit score, the more buying power you will have when coming to get a low interest rate on your mortgage.  In order to determine what your credit score is you may obtain a credit report from the credit bureau.

You are eligible to receive a free copy of your credit report from each of the 3 credit repositories once a year. There will be a small charge if you choose to also purchase your credit score. However, the scores provided to a consumer may differ from those provided to a lender when accessing your credit.
